Railings on roof: when heights are not uniform 

When it comes to railings on roof, maintaining a 1.5 meter spacing is a simple matter, if you work on a level surface. However, when the perimeter is interrupted by domes that create spans of up to three meters, it is essential to adopt a system that ensures the continuity of the perimeter protection. 

The combination of GUARD H and GUARD M is a practical and effective solution. In the lower sections of the roof, GUARD H, with its higher supports, provides stability and protection according to standards. At the trapezoidal domes, however, GUARD M stands out for its lower supports, designed to adapt to low heights without compromising safety. 

Thus, by combining two different types of railings on roof, the entire roof surface is secured.  

Technical features and applications 

GUARD H is designed for permanent installation on flat roof or floors. Its assembly is quick and easy: the components are interlocked in place or fastened with self-drilling screws, which are included in the supply. It is made of aluminium alloy which makes it particularly lightweight compared to the average railings for roof. The GUARD H lightweight also makes installation and transport easy. 

GUARD M, on the other hand, is the top for railings for industrial roofing, thanks to the special fastening plates for trapezoidal metal sheet. 

With two sizes available, the fastening plates fit the most common metal sheet on industrial roofs. Assembly is quick and easy, and even in this case the screws are included in the supply. When it comes to railings on roof lightness and installation speed are two crucial elements. 

Safety certified according to EN 14122-3 standard 

In this factory in Cremona, the combination of GUARD H and GUARD M was used to achieve continuous protection along the entire perimeter, despite variable spans. To complete the system, a perimeter closure with trapezoidal metal sheet was installed to act as toe boards. This approach allowed the system to be certified according to EN 14122-3, ensuring compliance with European occupational safety regulations.
